“Clare Beams is one of our favorite authors—in Pittsburgh or otherwise—and her newest engrossing work of historical fiction is a menacing, gothic, feminist allegory that explores women’s power and pain. It shows an exacting writer getting stronger with every offering, and we at White Whale are so lucky to have hosted Clare for all three of her launches! This time, we’re taking it offsite to Chatham University’s Mellon Hall Board Room. This event is presented in partnership with the Women’s Institute, and writer Anjali Sachdeva will join Clare in conversation. This is one you don’t want to miss!”
