That’s the conclusion New York-based writer Andrew Solomon reached during the 10 years he spent researching and writing his award-winning 2012 book, Far From the Tree: Parents, Children and the Search for Identity.

The Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures Series will present Mr. Solomon on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Carnegie Music Hall, Oakland. His talk will focus on the lessons of Far From the Tree, but he also expects to field questions about The Noonday Demon: An Atlas of Depression, which won the 2001 National Book Award for nonfiction, and his current book project, a deep dive into the many different ways that families define themselves today.”
Special news just for our Facebook fans! We have a handful of great seats and general admission tickets to Andrew…
