⭐️ Family Comedy Show and Book Launch @ Arcade Comedy Theater (OCTO, P.I. AND THE MYSTERIOUS VOICE by author/illustrator Sarah McDavis)

July 19 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

A spooky voice. A pirate parrot. A flying octopus? Octo P.I. and her team are back to solve the most mysterious case yet. Will Octo conquer her own fear AND uncover the truth before everyone erupts in panic?
Young readers and families are invited to a one-of-a-kind Family Comedy Show and Book Launch on Saturday, July 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Arcade Comedy Theater, as local children’s author/illustrator Sarah McDavis debuts the 2nd book in her mystery chapter book series for ages 7–10: OCTO, P.I. AND THE MYSTERIOUS VOICE.
This interactive event blends storytelling, comedy, and creativity in an experience for elementary-aged readers and their families. Highlights include:
  • a chapter read-aloud
  • a performance by kids’ improv team Penny Arcade
  • puppet comedy sketches
  • a mini-zine making station where kids invent their own animal characters
  • a book signing with the author/illustrator
It’s the perfect kickoff to summer reading for curious kids who are fans of Finding Dory and Zootopia.

The event is great for elementary aged kids and their families who love to laugh. Tickets for the event ($12/each), and books ($10/each), are available at https://www.showclix.com/event/octo-pi-book-launch.

Support Littsburgh!
Littsburgh™ is the online destination for the writers, publishing professionals, organizers, institutions, and readers who make Pittsburgh one of the world’s most literary cities.

Founded by three publishing professionals in 2015, Littsburgh showcases Pittsburgh as a hub of literary talent and activity while serving as a resource to foster further collaboration and connection within Pittsburgh’s vibrant literary community.

Littsburgh is a passion project and has been since inception.

Because we’re self-powered, we’ve been able to continue promoting literary Pittsburgh without having to compromise our vision or our mission — and without having to close up shop because of lack of funding. Our goal is for Littsburgh to be here for the long haul… and we’re only getting bigger and better every year!

As our audience has grown, however, so have our operating costs: hosting is increasingly expensive, spreading the word about literary Pittsburgh to our readers via social media channels requires paid “boosts,” and we’re investing literally hundreds of volunteer hours into the site every year.

With a small donation, one time or (even better!) recurring, you can help ensure that Littsburgh continues to grow and thrive.
